Who Has The Best Album Of 2021 So Far – Joeboy, Blaqbonez, Laycon Or Peruzzi?

The summer is here, and you know what that means; it’s time for the big guys to pull up with their albums.

Tomorrow, “UY Scuti” by Olamide will be out on various streaming platforms. No doubt, the LP is going to be one of the better releases of 2021.

With the precedent “Rock” has laid too, there’s sure gonna be quite a number of hits on this one.

That aside, there’s no telling which other big guy is going to drop albums before the year is over. New Reminisce is coming, new Burna Boy, new Wizkid. Who knows what Davido might decide to pull too?

Point is, it’s over already. Any upcoming artist planning to release an album before better shift it, because nobody is tuning in once the top dawgs drop.

Anyway, we’ve got a handful of albums in 2021 already. It’s not like last year, but still, it’s something.

Some of the most anticipated albums finally hit our airwaves earlier this year and have been keeping us occupied for a while now.

Big question is, who has the best album so far? Four of the contenders for these are BlaqbonezJoeboyLaycon, and Peruzzi.

Blaqbonez – Sex Over Love

Blaqbonez, who has been around for quite a while switched up his flow completely this time around and showed his versatility on his album, “Sex Over Love.”

The album had the hit songs, “BBC” and “Bling,” already one of the biggest songs of 2021.

Joeboy – Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic

Joeboy released his debut album and has since been the talk of the town. For the “Baby” singer, it’s all about growth and that’s what “Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic” is all about. Months after, it’s still one of the hottest releases of the year.

Laycon – Shall We Begin

There was pressure on Laycon to put out something. The Big Brother Naija hype was all gone, now he had to show the world if he’s really got what it takes.

Shall We Begin” is not bad for a debut, and he’s even had a hit from it. So, no matter what, Laycon wins.

Peruzzi – Rum & Boogie

The hype around Peruzzi hasn’t gone down once since we first got a glimpse of him in 2018.

The DMW guy who has had to delay his album release, probably because of Davido’s release, finally put out “Rum & Boogie” this year. It’s a different Peruzzi and the album is a banger.

Now, let’s hear from you.
